These templates have the port shape scribed on an aluminum plate for each port listed. The actual port size and shape needs to be cut in the aluminum to the scribed lines. This allows easy marking of the housing (dykem or permanent marker, then scribe port) and consistent port opening size/shape.
We now offer intake porting blanks for those engine builders who have their own special port designs. A very critical part of porting is to make ALL the ports exactly the same. With a porting blank, you can make your first port, then transfer that design to the template, then use the template to scribe the rest of the ports.
