These are the pieces you are
installing. |
 |
Look at these first THREE pictures -- there are two
"push-to-lock pins" up from the bottom on each lower rear corner piece of the
rear bumper.
The picture at the left is from AFTER the piece is removed
- sorry - but it was the easiest way to show how to undo the pins. Any kind
of small slot screwdriver, knife, etc. will work -- just pop the center part
up, then remove the entire "pin" as shown below. |
 |
This is what the removed pins look
like.
(Sorry, camera chose to not focus close) |
 |
Those holes in each corner are what the
pins go into. |
 |
After the two pins (on each corner piece)
are removed, the corner piece WILL come out. I needed to get my hand up
inside the bumper (from under the rear of the car) to push the center part of
each of those tabs you can see in this picture.
It really was not hard to get them to
release. |
 |
With the corner piece removed, lay the
Exhaust Finisher into the corner piece - try to push it toward the rear of the
piece -- it "beds" in real nice.
Mark the hole location with about anything. Remove the
finisher, drill the hole, and install the finisher with the bolt
provided.
I know we all hate to read it, but reinstalling the corner
piece REALLY IS the reverse of the steps above -- just push it back into place
by aligning those tabs (they will "latch" back in place) and push the two pins
back into the holes up from the bottom. |
|
DONE -- looks
GREAT! |
