We have been REAL busy in the shop/business since the car was run in June -- did not leave much time to do anything else but business.

We are trying to get ready for Firebird (Phoenix) on 11/20&21/99, plus Pomona 11/27&28/99. There has been essentially NO time to keep the website updated.

Schedule: Engine is coming off the dyno Friday 11/12, into car over the weekend, then testing at Palmdale (LACR) on Tuesday or Wednesday. Abel Ibarra is planning on testing his new car with us (spectators welcome). Then Firebird, then Pomona.

Nitrous plumbing is improved, engine has 1-piece 2mm steel apex seals with "solid" corner seals (10 out of 18 corner seals were broken when we took the engine apart!). We spent WAY too many hours and $$ on a new programmable 6-injector system, just to find out we were sent the wrong electronics. Went to back-up plan which was 1000cfm Holley carb. Engine sounds great! and we have our flames on decel back that we have missed so much from road-racing days.

New headers we built - stainless steel, 3 into 1 merge collector, with 3 1/2" straight through muffler.

The Import Drags have now gotten so big, we have decided to seriously join in. Our backgrounds are all in road racing, so this is essentially all new to us - should be fun!

Work was started in late November of '97. Progress is slow, and will continue to be slow as this is a "spare time / weekends" project. We have been very busy for a long time with normal business, which does not leave a lot of "spare" time.

We decided to run a first generation as sort of a "return to the roots" of the RX7.

We were hoping to have it ready for the Battle of the Imports at Palmdale in late May of '98, but did not even come close. Debut will be Feb 27 and 28 at the Battle of the Imports at LACR..
