| Now we continue with interior sheet metal, and start
hanging some of the exterior pieces. |

| A LOT more has been done
on the car than the above photos show. We have tried to keep these pages
somewhat up to date for those of you who are following the progress, but due to
the current schedule we are running on, the time it would take to "update" the
progress is much better spent actually working on the car.
We have about a 50/50 shot at making it to the Import Drags at
Palmdale on February 27-28. It's going to take a lot of work to make it there.
All the bodywork has been painted, brake system is done, some of
the electricals are mounted, etc. etc. We should be starting the wiring in the
next few days. Engine and trans should be going in this weekend. |

Everyone hears about how hot the rotary runs - here you can see it.
This was a mild power pass. Those headers are 1/8" thick steel, and are bright
red THROUGH Jet-Hot 2000 degree coating.
The EGT probes are at the end of the headers, right before the
flanges. Exhaust temps were 1600 degrees at the probes. |
