Note: We were VERY busy in February, March, and April with normal
business, so we did not get much done. Please remember, this is a "spare time,
after-hours, weekend" project, and when we have no spare time, nothing gets
done.

Trailer under contsruction at
Santek Tailers in Brea, Cal.
Having had many different racing trailers during the last 25 years, I lusted
for a really nice one, for once. Hopefully we can keep this one for the next 15
years.
Can't say enough about them - they will build anything you want -
from small 8' to 50' ++, bare inside to full motorhome living quarters. Prices
are VERY reasonble for what you get - it just hurts when you add up all the
great things you always wanted to have.

Have been plugging away on lots of little
things. Made the rest of the exhaust, made the flex plate shield, mounted the
trans scattershield, etc. Also decided the intake manifold (purchased from
someone else) was not going to work well enough, so we are making our own. |

During all this, we kept looking at the
body, trying to figure out how to make the package LOOK good with all that
interior bracing they have. We finally decided it was not possible!
So ----- major change at this time. We decided to go ahead and
tube frame the rest of the car, and use new outer body skin panels only. This
will now be covered in the next chapter, as soon as some progress has been
made. |
